College Football 8 Team Playoff
By Tyler Smith 12/4/17
I have been preaching about a College Football Playoff before the playoff was even a thing. Back in 2010 I wrote an article proposing a massive 20 team playoff. It is too big but hell it had Bama travleing to Nevada for a game. How awesome is that?
Six teams would be better than 4, but it wouldn't completely make sense. 16 Teams is too big. 10 teams would be the second best option. 8 teams? That sounds like a winner.
Now we could dig deeper and pose questions like, does each conference have to play 9 conference games? Maybe push it to 10? Do we have conference title games? Take away divisions?Power 5 has to play at least one power 5 team?Eliminate games vs. FCS?
For now to make it simple. Conference title winners of power 5 conferences go. Highest rated Non-Power 5 team goes. First Round games are played at home. Next three are played at the bowl locations.

The Breakdown
Game One: UCF puts their undefeated record on the line vs the defending national champ.
Game Two: Ohio State travels to Alabama! A game you would likely never see. Urban back in SEC country. This would be one of the highest rated CFB games of all time.
Game Three: Wisconsin would head south to face Georgia. Two similar teams with tough defenses and great rushing attacks. With games two and three you would really get to see who the top confernce in CFB is.
Game Four: USC at Oklahoma. Two historic College Football teams clash. A chance to see Baker Mayfield vs. Sam Darnold.
One more positive, we don't have to wait nearly a month to watch a playoff game.
