College Football Trending Teams After Week 4
Up
TCU
The Horned Frogs went on the road to Stillwater and got a big win. This puts them in the driver seat for a top two spot in the Big 12. They have to survive West Virginia and Kansas State the next two weeks. If they do it is hard to see how they won’t end up in the championship game.
Next Up: West Virginia 10/7
Winner: TCU 32-24
Virginia
The Cavaliers are already sitting at 3 wins on the season. Over the last 5 years their highest season win total was 5. This could be the year UVA makes it back to a bowl game. QB Kurt Benkert has been a big reason why things have turned around. If he can take this momentum into conference play the Cavs will be a tough out.
Next Up: Duke 10/7
Winner: 27-26
NC State
13 point underdog? What was Vegas thinking both Matt and I had the Pack as a straight up winner. With the win over FSU it seems like the Wolfpack are going to finish at least third or higher. They get Clemson and Louisville at home. The two toughest games left on their schedule
.
Next Up: Syracuse
Winner: NC State 42-17
Down
Temple
It is starting to look like the Temple that we grew to love is gone. The performance against South Florida was comical. With all the issues on offense this team will be right around .500. It was fun while it lasted, Owls.
Next Up: Houston
Winner: Houston 31-16
Charlotte
Year three for Charlotte is off to an ugly start, 0-4. They have losses to NC A&T and Ga State in the past two weeks. Looking at the upcoming schedule it's hard to see this team getting more than 2 wins.
Next Up: FIU
Winner: FIU 24-17
Tulsa
They head into conference play at 1-3. They are on a two game skid now with losses to Toledo and New Mexico by a combined 6 points. Heading into conference play this looks to be a team headed for a losing skid. Getting to a bowl game will be a stretch at this point.
Next Up: Navy
Winner: Navy 35-27
