|
#1 VCU: Three starters return who averaged double-digit points. Juvonte Reddic is a A-10 POY candidate. Treveon Graham is the team's leading returning scorer. 2012 top 100 recruit, Jordan Burgess, is eligible and ready to contribute. With plenty of depth in the backcourt "Havoc" will be in full force.
#2 La Salle: The Explores made it to the Sweet Sixteen last season. Will they repeat that performance is to be determined. While they lose Ramon Galloway they return Tyreek Duren And Tyrone Garland. Sam Mills scored eight a game last season look for that number to climb to double-digits this season. Steve Zack and Jerrell Wright can hold their own down low. Wright has the potential to average near a double-double this season. #3 Saint Louis: The Billikens are built around defense and with several key defenders back expect another league-low in points allowed. Jordai Jett and Mike McCall Jr. cause plenty of trouble in the backcourt of opposing teams. Dwayne Evans is back after leading the team in points and rebound per game. With two key departures in the backcourt, Austin McBroom a transfer from Central Michigan will be called upon to score points. With a solid recruting class expect the Saint Louis to be in the hunt for the title this season. #4 UMass: The Minutemen should be NCAA Tournament bound for the first time since 1998. Big ups to the little guy Chaz Williams for holding it down for the people under 6 foot. Williams averaged 15.5 ppg and dished out 7.7 apg. Joining him in the backcourt will be WKU transfer Derrick Gordon. Gordon, as a freshmen, averaged 11.8 ppg and 6.7 rpg. An experienced frontcourt will go a long way for the Minutemen. #5 Rhode Island #6 Dayton #7 Richmond #8 George Washington #9 George Mason #10 Saint Joseph's #11 Fordham #12 Saint Bonaventure #13 Duquesne |
