What to do on Game Days
1. Check out the
ECU campus. Visitors’ parking is located off of 5th street.
2. Head downtown, Cubbies is on the corner of 5th street and Evans. Cubbies has a great local feel. Lots of ECU memorabilia hanging on the walls. Plenty of TV’s inside. Cubbies is known for their cheeseburgers and hot dogs. There’s free two hour parking right across the street. (A lot of the fans also recommend B's Barbecue)
3. The ECU Olympic Sports Complex is a little further south of the main campus it’s about a mile walk. There is free parking for basketball games. The Complex includes the football, basketball, and baseball. The Soccer field is currently under construction, along with the Track and field venue. The softball stadium is tucked in the corner. All of these facilities are top notch. The baseball stadium is extremely nice. It seats 3000 in the bleachers. There is also outfield seating which they call the "Jungle". The Football Stadium really impressed me. Seating 50,000 people, it’s the third largest college football stadium in North Carolina. All the other Facilities have the same color scheme and roof. This makes the complex more uniform and sharp.
4. In the Olympic sports Complex is Minges Coliseum. The Arena sits 8,000 people. Seats are gray and purple in the upper portion of the arena. The lower portion contains bleachers. The student section is at center court. They call themselves the Minges Maniacs.(Check out there facebook page Minges Maniacs) There are no suites in the arena. The roof is really low to the court which allows the place to get very loud at times. There are two scoreboards located on two corners of the arena. Two video boards go on the other corners. The concourse is nice and clean, easy to navigate.
5. After the game head towards downtown. Chico's restaurant is located on Cotanche Street. Chico's serves traditional Mexican food. There is parking behind or you can park across from Cubbies. This is where you will find most of your nightlife. There are several bars nearby.

East Carolina University Minges Coliseum Overview
Arena: Minges Coliseum is perfect
for East Carolina. The size of the arena is at 8000. I would change the color of the seats to black instead of grey, to stay uniform with the school's colors. The purple chairs would
stay. I like the arena without suites. The scoreboards could
use an upgrade. The concourse is very nice and clean.
The court was awesome, with the center of the court being the state of Carolina with the Pirate inside of it with ECU colors. The center court design is called "Pirate State of Mind."
City: The city of Greenville was fair. It didn't really have anything special about it. I like to see different sections of downtown areas being focused on restaurants, other sections geared towards business, and a section towards nightlife.
Atmosphere: The Atmosphere was great from the start. The Student section was nice, it should be expanded. I feel there were more students in the crowd but not able to sit in the student section. The rest of the fans in the arena were great. It’s good to see the ECU fans really get around Lebo. The basketball team has struggled in the past but, with a new coach comes a new team. Keep up the support!
ECU: East Carolinas campus was very nice. Most of the buildings have the same look. The brick throughout the campus is a great look. The green space is always nice on campus. I like having the sports complex on the main campus traditionally, but in this case I didn’t mind. The Olympic Sports Complex is extremely nice. One of the best I’ve seen . I’d like to come back when it is completely done.
