Tyler's TeamsTrending Up:
Arizona: The Wildcats do it again to Oregon. The Wildcats got it done with a 21 point 3rd quarter that included two Nick Wilson rushing touchdowns and one passing. Next Up: USC. The Trojans are coming in off a loss to Arizona State, yet Vegas has them as the favorites in the game. Look for a close one in Arizona Stadium. Miss State: The Bulldogs have proved they are legit after a win over Texas A&M and a road win at LSU. Dak Prescott is now everyone's favorite to win the Heisman. Next Up: Auburn. If Mississippi State can beat Auburn they will be in the driver seat to win the West. Since 2007 the tigers have lost twice to the Bulldogs and four of their five losses have been by a touchdown or less. TCU: We had TCU beating OU and they didn't disappoint. The defense did just enough and the offense was clicking on all cylinders. Quarterback Trevone Boykin had a total of 395 total yards. Next Up: At Baylor. Don't let the #5 ranking foll you. Baylor's schedule to this point has been weak. I'll stick with TCU this week, as the Horned frogs grab the drivers seat in the Big12. Trending Down: UTSA: South Carolina: Cincinnati: |
Matt's TeamsTrending Up-
1.) Arizona- Arizona scored a big win at Oregon last Thursday night. It was the Wildcats second straight win against the Ducks. The rushing attack was great going over 200 yards. Arizona moves to 5-0 and jumped to #10 in the AP poll. Up Next- USC- Arizona gets the Trojans at home Saturday night. It's another big game for Arizona, being the underdog at home. I like the balance of the Wildcats offense in this game. I see Arizona moving to 6-0. 2.) Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn- All three teams came away with huge wins this weekend. It was a huge weekend in the SEC West and these three teams won those contests. After the wins Auburn is #2 and Ole Miss/Mississippi State are tied at #3. Up Next- Auburn visits Mississippi State and Ole Miss visits Texas A&M- It will be another big weekend in the SEC West. I felt like Auburn was the best team in the West coming into the season so I am going to roll with Auburn to win on the road. I like Ole Miss over the Aggies on the road. 3.) Northwestern- After a rocky start to the season the Wildcats have roared into B1G play scoring upsets of Penn State and Wisconsin. The defense forced Wisconsin into 4 turnovers. Northwestern is 2-0 in B1G play and visits Minnesota this weekend. Up Next: @ Minnesota. Northwestern has a chance to start 3-0 in B1G play this weekend. Minnesota will be a tough game for NW coming off of a big win. NW is playing with a lot of confidence and I'm going to pick them to get the big W at Minnesota. Trending Down: 1.) Wisconsin- Wisconsin losing to NW was a huge upset. Wisconsin turned it over 4 times through the air. Melvin Gordon did his best to try to carry Wisconsin but the QB play was awful. The passing game is the only thing holding the Badgers back. A B1G title could still be had but they have to get it going in the air. Next Up- Illinois- Illinois is coming off of a home loss to Purdue so Wisconsin should be able to control the game. I like Wisconsin big here and expect the Badgers to work on the passing game. 2.) LSU- LSU was absolutely demolished by Auburn. Auburn outplayed the Tigers from the first snap. LSU went 0-13 on 3rd downs and the defense couldn't stop Auburn's offense. LSU is in unfamiliar terrority with 2 losses in early October. It will be interesting to see how the QB position plays out in the next couple games. Next Up- @Florida- The good news for LSU is that Florida's offense is terrible. The defense should be able to control the line against the Gators. I like LSU to get their first SEC win this week. 3.) Oregon- The Ducks lost again to Arizona for the second straight season. The offensive line has huge issues. The line can't seem to block anyone and that is leaving star QB Mariota rushed in the pocket. Arizona isn't the typical strong defensive team that seems to plague Oregon every season, so that has to worry Duck fans. Oregon lost just 3 PAC-12 games under Chip Kelly and they have matched that in just over a season since he departed. Next Up- @UCLA- This was supposed to be the marquee match-up in week 7 but with both teams losing last week it has lost some of its luster. The problems up front with the offensive line could be the undoing of the Oregon offensive again this week. If it was a home game I would take Oregon, but I feel like UCLA is the better team here. |
