Three Up/Three DownUp
Maryland Texas-Maryland was one of the best games I watched this weekend. Maryland came in as a big underdog and got the win. Maryland proved that they will be a tough out in Big Ten play. QB Tyrrell Pigrome, is done for the season which is too bad but we will see how Hill does in his place. Next Up: Towson Prediction: 40-13 Maryland Cal This might not be a team that you expected to see on here but my expectations for Cal were low, like, bottom of the PAC 12 low. They went on the road and defeated UNC. The defense played well compared to what they would have done last season and showed some promise for a turnaround. Next Up: Weber State Prediction: 48-17 Cal Marshall Marshall was horrible last season. They started this season off with a bang though. Two kicks for touchdowns and a pick six. While the offense still had its struggles this win over a solid Miami Ohio squad could be the confidence boost they need. Next Up: At NC State Prediction: 36-20 NC State Down Baylor When you take a loss to Liberty you know things have officially changed in Waco. This team was knocking on the playoff door a few years back. Liberty had more total yards of offense than the Bears. That rarely would of happened in the past. In an offense heavy league, this will not go well for Baylor. Next Up: UTSA Prediction: 30-24 Baylor Texas We all saw it. It was the only noon game worth watching. Texas came in with such high hopes. Tom Herman had entered as the HC, everything was going to be great. Wrong. Again. Texas got slashed for 51 points by Maryland. Clearly for things to turn around for the Longhorns it is going to start with the defense. Until that happens losses to Kansas are still on the board. Next Up: San Jose State Prediction: 45-20 Texas Florida All the talk was who is going to start at QB. The talk now is what the hell are we going to do at QB. Zaire and Franks combined for 181 yards with no TDs. The running game was just as sad they totaled 11 yards, 11 yards!
