Bowling Green: The Falcons may have turned it around after a win vs. Indiana. Sophomore QB James Knapke looks good after two games. Next Up: At Wisconsin. This will be close. BG has plenty of confidence going into Camp Randall. ECU: Big win at Virginia Tech. Carden continues to show why he's one of the best in the nation. The defense has looked pretty good the past two games. Next Up: North Carolina. It's never easy for opponents at Dowdy. Last year the Tar Heels got beat up 55-31. Virginia: I said in our ACC Preview that this would be Virginia's coming out party, look what happened. Next Up: at BYU. BYU will be another good test for the Cavilers. Look for a tight defensive battle. Trending Down Ball State: The Cardinals played Iowa tight then dropped the ball vs. Indiana State. 2.6 yards per carry won't get it done vs. many teams. Next Up: At Toledo. It's hard to see Ball State winning this one. Toledo has too good of an offense. Iowa: Didn't look good vs. Ball State then go down to instate rival Iowa State. We let the eight point win vs. Northern Iowa slide, but now we realized there was reasoned to be concerned after week one. Next Up: At Pittsburgh. Iowa hasn't been on the road yet and they have struggled at home. Pitt should win this one. Troy: The Trojans have been featured here before and now they are trending towards the ocean floor after the loss to Abilene. The good news is they are still 0-0 in the Sun Belt. Next Up: At Georgia. Uhm.....yeah, I've got nothing. |

East Carolina: ECU pulled off an upset on the road at VT. ECU has played very well this season, hanging in tough against South Carolina also. Carden threw for over 400 yards and Cam Worthy went off. Up Next: North Carolina. It’s a big home game for the Pirates, UNC will be a tough matchup, but I expect a W this Saturday for ECU. South Carolina: The Gamecocks are back in the driver’s seat for the SEC East crown. South Carolina beat UGA at home in a classic. Thompson and Wilds came up big for SC. Next Up: at Vandy. This should be an easy matchup for SC, it should be over by halftime. Cincinnati: The Bearcats finally opened the season last Friday night and put up 58 points in an offensive clinic. UC had 41 at half and 17 in the 4th quarter. Gunner Kiel looked impressive tossing 6 TD’s. Next Up: Miami (OH). UC gets a matchup with one of the worst teams in the FBS. UC should roll to a big victory heading into a clash with Ohio State next week. Trending Down Iowa: Iowa was upset at home by in-state rival Iowa State. Iowa has been struggling to begin the season and it finally caught up to them. Iowa was a team with big expectations coming into the season but they have yet to get it rolling. Next Up: Pittsburgh. This is going to be an interesting matchup between two teams heading in opposite directions. Pitt has looked great in the first 3 weeks. Iowa has to be able to move the ball to have a chance, I’m calling for a Hawkeye upset. Florida: The Gators were 18 point favorites in Saturday night’s contest. The Gators didn’t play well and even though they won, UK was the better team. Next Up: at Alabama. This is a huge test for the Gators, we will find if it they are legit contenders in the SEC East. USC: The Trojans laid an egg at Boston College. USC were looking to build off a signature win against Stanford but ended up crumbling. Cody Kessler looked great but the defense allowed 452 rushing yards. Next Up: BYE week. |
